The physical and mental health of ship’s personnel are vital to the ship and crew’s efficiency and effectiveness. Physicians, nurses, and technicians assigned to the Medical Department monitor ship’s personnel and provide assistance as necessary to keep the crew healthy and heal the sick and/or wounded.
