Personality: Intelligent, focused, warm, friendly, genuine – these are all words that have been used to describe Kyla. She has a wonderful sense of humor. She seeks to make others feel comfortable in their surroundings. She is out-going but can also be a bit reserved with personal details. She is much more comfortable talking to others about themselves. Kyla is quite easy-going, but she can have a bit of a temper when pushed.

Other Pertinent Data: Kyla holds a medical degree as well as one in psychology. She speaks several different languages and is currently studying Klingon. She still has a slight Scottish accent and is quite proud of her heritage. She knows many alternative methods of healing due to both her mother and younger sister being herbologist.

History: Kyla grew up in a small village in Scotland. Her father was a doctor and her mother was the local herbologist. Kyla’s childhood was happy and one filled with much love and laughter. Though her parents were both in the healing arts, they encouraged all their children to pursue whatever most interested them. Kyla’s older brother, Brycen, had a friend whose family had been in Starfleet for generations, so Brycen decided that is where he wanted to be. Kyla decided to follow in her brother’s footsteps and was accepted into Starfleet Academy at the age of 16. She pursued both a degree in medicine and Earth Sciences. After receiving her medical degree, Kyla then decided to study Psychology. After earning her Psychology degree at age 29, she was assigned to the USS WASHINGTON to serve as a physician, as they did not need a Ship’s Psychologist. Three years later when Kyla heard that position had opened up on the USS PHOENIX, she put in her transfer and it was approved.
